LUSH: First Timer

As it's getting to that time of year where you just wish you could stay snuggled up in bed, rather than getting up & out to work - I am going to post about something cosy, yet colourful for Autumn.

Taking bubbly baths are one of my favourite ways to relax, even if I am not particularly stressed! It helps my mind wind down and feel a little better about myself, but as much a I love a candle lit bubble bath, recently bath time has got a bit boring.

My Birthday this year brought me some fabulous gifts which will all be appearing here soon... but my best friend Heather-Ann, brought me a gift box of something unexpected but amazing to sniff!

Enter the Lush Bunty gift box.

Lush was always the shop I would walk past, and be hit by what seemed to be a big plume of different smells and floral bath products. I could never believe people get in there and are able to breathe! I have never stepped foot inside a shop for that reason. However, Birthdays bring one of those amazing times when you are given something you would have never have tried yourself, and it's that time when you need to be open minded and think 'Actually, THANKYOU' for this little box of trinkets. If you don't know Lush - it is essentially the bath lovers boutique of naturally sourced, and organic products put together to make great smelling bath bombs, floats, shower gels, exfoliators and shampoos etc.

The Bunty set, includes four of Lush's favourite bath products across their range of colourful and playful bath accessories.

Top Left: Think Pink Bath Bomb £2.50 each.
Bottom Left: The Comforter Bubble Bar £4.50 each.
Top Right: Space Girl Bath Bomb £2.25 each.
Bottom Right: Creamy Candy Bubble Bar £2.50 each.

I have yet to use the products on the left (Think Pink Bath Bomb & The Comforter Bubble Bar) but my review of the other two follow;

Mini Review: Space Girl Bath Bomb - Don't expect bubbles with this spaceship shaped bomb. It is full of different colours and popping candy, which you can hear in action as the contents fizzes its way into your warm bath water. Pre-bath when you drop this in the water, the bath bomb disperses many different colours, and fizzes its way around your tub. I love that a) the fabulous colour didn't stain my bath b) the bath bomb didn't aggravate or dry my skin and c) the uplifting scent filled the bathroom and uplifted my mood. I think this one would be a great one for little girls that love pink, and if you struggle to get them in the bath - this immediately creates a fun time!

Mini Review: Creamy Candy Bubble Bar - As a you hold this one under the running water the bar will begin to crumble and eventually you will be left with silky and sumptuous bubbles filling your bath and moisturising your skin! I found there was some residue left on the bath sides etc which you might want to clean off before another bath time.

I have savoured these four little lush treats and have actually used the Lush website to go buy some more varieties of bubble bars and bath melts too.

I hope you enjoyed this colourful post, and it has given you some autumnal cheer! If you have a friend's birthday coming up, why not give them something they haven't tried but you love?! I really have loved this little gift, so thank you Heather-Ann!

What's your favourite Lush products?
